Born in Osaka in 1971. After graduating from the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Kinki University, I worked at a confectionery company (Hirota Co., Ltd.) from 1993 to 1995 in the new business development department, where I was in charge of food service store operations and menu development. From 1995 to 1998, I worked at an advertising design company as a creative manager, and then I worked at Japan Marketing Research Institute (JMR Science Inc.), where I was involved in marketing research, data analysis, and marketing strategy consulting for major manufacturers and service companies (during which time I earned a master's degree from the Graduate School). In 2005, I joined Ipsos K.K. as a research manager and data analyst for a team working exclusively for P&G. I am currently a visiting scholar (during which time I completed a Ph.D. program at the Graduate School).
After working, I began my academic career in 2010 as an Assistant Professor at the University of Marketing and Distribution Sciences. In 2013, Associate Professor, In 2015, Doshisha University as an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Commerce. Since 2020, my current Doshisha University Professor position.
